Washington City Location 
Washington DC is the capital of the United States of America in the District of Columbia and is not within the limits of any state in the United States. The US Constitution defines the region as a federal zone. Washington is located specifically on the northern coast of the river Botomac, Maryland borders the District of Columbia to the north, east, and west, bordered by Virginia on the southern coast of the Potomac.
